The Fort Rouge Gateway Project, or FRoG, is a partnership of 16 entities covering private enterprise, non-profit, local government and education. They have joined forces to create a “pocket park” and historical commemorative site in southwest Detroit in the shadow of the newly erected Fort Street Bridge.

A Statement from UAW President Dennis Williams Regarding the Orlando Attacks

UAW members are heartbroken over the senseless attacks in Orlando. We join our brothers and sisters in the labor movement and Americans everywhere in denouncing the hate that has yet again taken innocent lives and devastated our nation. We offer our prayers to the families of those killed and injured, the city of Orlando and the LGBT community. We continue to stand in solidarity in our commitment to the values that unite us, and not divide us.

UAW members are workers who believe in collective bargaining rights. We know they’re the foundation of fair treatment in the workplace, good health care coverage for our families, job safety, retirement security and everything we negotiate as equals with management. Voting for Donald Trump for president in November is the same as voting against your own collective bargaining rights. Trumps words and actions tell us that. Read more >>>

Labels for Education

The VFW National Home for Children has benefited from this generous program for many years.

Unfortunately, the Labels for Education program is coming to an end.

In order to ensure the National Home is able to get their 7th and last van from this generous program, we must receive these labels by July 11th.

WE STILL NEED 107,683 LABELS!

Members,

Red Wednesdays were established to show support for workers under attack by the

Republican governors and

lawmakers who pushed policies that were designed to destroy the middle class!

We also wear red on Wednesday to show Solidarity in the ranks as our leaders engage in the collective bargaining process.

We ask you to wear red every Wednesday and to encourage all of your co-workers to do the same.

Red Wednesdays = Strength in Solidarity
