A Statement from UAW President Dennis Williams Regarding the Orlando Attacks
UAW members are heartbroken over the senseless attacks in Orlando. We join our brothers and sisters in the labor movement and Americans everywhere in denouncing the hate that has yet again taken innocent lives and devastated our nation. Red Wednesdays were established to show support for workers under attack by the
Republican governors and
lawmakers who pushed policies that were designed to destroy the middle class!
We also wear red on Wednesday to show Solidarity in the ranks as our leaders engage in the collective bargaining process.
We ask you to wear red every Wednesday and to encourage all of your co-workers to do the same.
Red Wednesdays = Strength in Solidarity
