The past three years has shown that when your voices are heard, things change, or at the very least, management pauses to re-examine their decisions. This was evident in our Bargaining process this last year where I served as the Recording Secretary for the Bargaining Team that helped secure our largest wage increase in over 20 years while acquiring no losses, only gains, in benefits! This was also obvious during many grievance hearings, disciplinary conferences and labor management meetings where the end result was making your career as a State employee better and more secure. Representing Northern Lower Michigan and U.P. members the past three years has been a great honor.
