Hello UAW Members! My name is Charles Adams and I am honored to serve as your Chaplain for Local 174. I’m originally from Highland Park and a graduate of St. Martin De Porres. I also attended Wayne State University where I am currently planning to finish up. I began my career with the State of Michigan working with Juvenile justice system, then I went on to become Assistant Director of a local juvenile detention facility. I then transitioned to General Motors.

Although I was raised in a Christian family home, I sought God for myself in 1996 where I became born again and a true believer in Christ. My faith has allowed for me to live by the motto, “only God can sit in the seat of judgement.”

I’m grateful to be here and to serve as Chaplain, appointed under the leadership of Chairman Leroy Haskins.
